Bbi creates new destination venue for WRU

Brecon-based Beacons Business Interiors (Bbi) has completed a major design and build project for the interior of the new Welsh Rugby Union facility at the entrance to the Millennium Stadium on Westgate Street, Cardiff. The new venue, renamed The Cardiff Arms, is located in the grade II listed former Yates Bar and houses a new retail unit, tour facility and a cafe bar. [ read more ]

Safecontractor status for local facilities management firm

Office interiors specialists Beacons Business Interiors (Bbi) has announced that it has received Safecontractor accreditation. Safecontractor is the industry accreditation that assesses a contractor’s health and safety policies and documentation, ensuring that it is in-line with the Safe Contractor Charter Standards. Bbi goes against the flow with £3 million new contracts in six weeks

Facilities support firm Beacons Business Interiors has won £3 million worth of new contracts in the last six weeks giving another indication that the economy is showing some signs of recovery. The contracts include wins from high profile organisations including the Welsh Rugby Union, Lloyds Banking Group, disaster recovery firm SunGard and Balfour Beatty Workplace. [ read more ]

Bbi calls on businesses to prepare for swine flu pandemic

A new partnership venture between two companies has been launched to help businesses manage the threat of swine flu and offer advice on how best to manage the pandemic. Facilities support firm Beacons Business Interiors (Bbi) has teamed up with Approved Product Treatments (APT) to advise businesses on how to manage the threat they face from the spread of swine flu and offer advice on precautions they can take to prevent an outbreak at their business. A facilities management firm is warning that UK businesses have only six months left to prepare for government legislation on reducing its carbon emissions. Hundreds of facilities managers across the UK / hundreds of businesses across /Wales/Gloucestershire/Leeds could find themselves facing fines significant fines if they fail to wake up to changes in legislation surrounding air conditioning units. The Continuing Importance of CDM

The Construction Design and Management Regulations 2007 (CDM 2007) came into force in April 2007, consolidating CDM 1994 and the Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996. PJE takes the old and turns it into the new

Gloucester-based PJE Business Solutions (PJE), part of the Bbi Group, has completed a £62,000 project converting a mill in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. The complete fit-out contract, carried out for Esko Stone Cube, involved creating a modern, working office within the confines of a listed building, incorporating essential working equipment while being sensitive to the original features. BBI handles fit out for multinational design consultancy

Brecon-based Beacons Business Interiors (Bbi) has handled the 10,000 sq ft office fit out for multinational engineering and design consultancy, Atkins, at its UK northern office in Leeds. Atkins is one of the world's leading providers of professional, technology-based consultancy and support services and has appointed the Leeds-based arm of Bbi to manage its £220,000 fit out. Carpet Carpet - Carpet Recycling

Facilities support specialists Bbi have invested £40,000 in a new carpet tile recycling division, Carpet Carpet, the first commercial operation of its kind in Wales / Gloucestershire / Yorkshire. The tiles will be sourced from existing installations that would previously have been thrown away when an organisation either changes its branding or moves into new premises, where carpeting already exists, but doesn't fit in with either the design or quality requirement. Lloyds TSB Update Special

Beacons Business Interiors are proud to announce the award of a five year frame-work agreement by Lloyds TSB. The agreement started in March 2008 and is due to run until 2013.
