Powys County Council, Llandrindod Wells
One of Powys County Council's responsibilities is the implementation of trunk road maintenance and improvements in Mid Wales.
Bbi were responsible for refurbishing a landmark building in Llandrindod Wells to accommodate the new
Trunk Road Management Agency.
The AutoPalace had been selected by Powys County Council as a heritage building worthy of renovation and to help encourage inward investment.

The Brief |
Bbi tendered for the Design and Build package of a new office facility for the newly formed 'Mid Wales Trunk Road Agency" in the heart of the Principality. Part of the design brief was
that the office space was also re-configurable as a disaster recovery centre for the Welsh Assembly and Powys County Council. There was a defined budget and very tight timescales.
12-week project

Project Delivery |
Office design, project management, new partitioning, wall and floor coverings, desking, seating, cabling, lighting, air-conditioning and state of the art presentation equipment
were all elements of this project.
The furniture element comprised Farrell's "Air" office furniture, with Orangebox operator seating and Boss soft seating.

Closing Comments |
This was a real blank canvass; the existing building was in such disrepair that the survey had to be completed by flash light!
When we'd finished they had a state of the art facility, fit for the 21st Century office environment.
