The client

BDO is a national, leading accountancy and business advisory firm, employing over 3,500 people and generating £400m in UK revenues. They provide services to ambitious businesses within the UK and worldwide. They were located close by in Colmore Row, but in 2015 took space in the prestigious Snow Hill complex.

The design brief

To Design and build new office facility, allowing for 240 desks, flexible staff meeting spaces, client meeting suites and training area with commercial kitchen facility.

Project delivery

We successfully tendered for the fit-out works. This involved developing the layout with the client as well as coordinating the alterations required for the mechanical design.

Rather than adjust the base build system, we provided Mitsubishi Electric ducted type VRF fan coil units to give the client greater flexibility and reduce future dilapidation costs.

The flexible client meeting suite has eight rooms, three with operable walls to create one large open space. We also a fitted a full commercial kitchen for in house client entertaining.

The training suite has double glazed partitions and doors with switch film privacy glass, (a first for the UK.)
